This stout Par 4 has a large bunker about 220 off the tee on the left that should be avoided as a large tree also blocks the approach shot if you drive left. After finding the fairway on the right side, hit a long to middle iron into a well-bunkered green. Most greens are fast paced and a few practice putts on the putting green above the 1st tee will help you judge the quick pace of Makena's greens.

I played a good drive down the middle, 172 yards out and hit a solid 5 iron to 10 ft. of the cup and made my birdie 3.

Best Tip: Drive right of the left Bunker and play to the middle of the green to have an uphill putt to get a par.
