The first two holes are into the open plains and now you see the large sand dunes that make this course special. This short par 3 has plenty of bite as open bunkers flow into the Dunes and catch short miss-hit approaches. The back right pin placement gives the appearance that the flag in almost hidden from view of the back tee. It's a solid 7 iron to this back area while the front left is normally a 9 iron. But play it safe and hit an 8 iron for middle pin position and to carry the middle bunkers. Enter the Dunes forest.

Fired at the pin with my 7 iron from 140 yards and had a 10" birdie putt and made it. One under thru 3 holes... a great start!

Best Tip: Play the tee shot +10 yards to carry bunkers as the wind can knock down your shots. Play a little left of pin to be safe.
